Swedish4Kids day camp is aimed towards children who want to learn Swedish during the summer holidays. During the day camp we play, learn and go on excursions together – all in Swedish. The aim is for the children to develop their Swedish skills in an inspiring and efficient way.

Objectives and content

•  Day camp with fun excursions every day for children aged 6-12
•  Four-day camp in Stockholm during the summer holidays
•  Develops children’s Swedish skills in a fun environment

During the Swedish4Kids camp we focus on making the language learning fun and motivating the children to have the confidence to speak and play in Swedish. That is why we combine traditional teaching methods with games, arts and crafts, song and drama.

The children are divided into groups based on age and level, so that the materials used are appropriate for their level and interests. To make a safe environment for them we have several coaches per group and when possible, we make sure siblings and friends can be grouped together.

We start the day at “Base Camp” where we do exercises in vocabulary and grammar, linked to the theme of the day and adjusted to the different age/level ranges. The day continues with an excursion/activity and the children are ready to be collected at 4pm.

Upgrades, and our summer camp coaches, are not happy until the children have been inspired and motivated to continue learning Swedish on their own after the conclusion of the camp.
