Language coach for group teaching (companies)
As a language coach working with group tutoring at companies, you will teach groups of 3-12 participants.
You have a good ability to engage with participants and are comfortable speaking in front of a group. You have great drive and commitment and actively work to create a positive group dynamic and supportive teaching environment.
Your profile:
- Highly proficient in the language being taught
- Communicative, outgoing and comfortable speaking to a group
- Dedicated, perceptive, flexible and pedagogical at heart
Language coach adults (private lessons)
As a language coach for individual tutoring, you will have 1-2 participants in your lessons. You have confidence in your own ability and enjoy a varied work where you independently plan the tutoring according to the needs of the participant. You are structured, flexible and pedagogical at heart.
Your profile:

- Genuinely interested in pedagogy and the language’s diverseness
- Dedicated, perceptive, flexible and pedagogical at heart
Language coach for children and young adults
As an Upgrades language coach for younger students you know the importance of combining knowledge with fun. You use your creativity to create interesting, inspiring and engaging lessons. As a language coach you always put the student’s needs in focus, and you have an ability to create a supportive teaching environment.
For those interested, there is also an opportunity to work as an instructor at our language camps for children, where inspiring lessons are combined with excursions connected to the themes of the education.
You are:

Babysitter
As a babysitter at Upgrades you are dedicated, playful and have creative ideas on how to incorporate language into the babysitting. We offer a unique concept where pedagogy and language development stays at the heart of the babysitting. The work includes picking up the child or children from preschool or school, basic cooking, play and activities while maintaining a focus on language development. We see this as a long term relationship, and wish that you stay with the family for at least 3 months and onward. Keep in mind that when we’re employing babysitters for Upgrades, we request an extract from the criminal records registry.

How do I apply?

In your application it should be clearly stated which position you are interested in, as well as city you’d like to work in. Applications without a cover letter or CV are not accepted.
How do I know that my application has gone through?
You will receive an automated confirmation email when we have received your application
How do I know if I’ve moved forward in the hiring process?
We go through received applications continually. If you move forward in the process, you’ll be contacted by a recruiter to set up a follow-up over the phone. We do not have the capacity to give individual feedback on applications, and will only contact the candidates that have moved forward to the next step.
How do you make your first selection?
A recruiter will make a judgement based on the demands of the assignments, such as formal demands of competencies and personal capabilities.
The Job/Position
Are there ready-made study plans and course material?
As a language coach you personally will tailor the education based on the client’s wishes and requirements. We provide material and inspiration for the study plans.
Time, place and length of session?
Language coach
The teaching varies depending on the customer’s wishes regarding day, time, and place. The lessons can take place at the home of the participant, at their workplace or in the teaching rooms at Upgrades (only available in Stockholm). Each lesson is 90 minutes, with the exception of our intensive courses where the customer chooses the length of each session.
Babysitter
Each babysitting session is a minimum of 2.5 hours and is usually in the afternoon (however, this may vary depending on the family’s wishes for time).
How long is the duration of an assignment?
The language coaching extends between 10-20 weeks with 1-2 lessons per week. Our intensive courses run for 1-2 weeks and the baby-sitting is continually over a semester.
What is the salary category?
Wage determination is individual and based on prior experience, pedagogical education as well as your dedication to Upgrades. The wage is based on an hourly rate, and on top of wages a mobility grant is possible. If you have your own company, you can opt to invoice.
